1.How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
2 kids. My daughter Julia is 10 and my son Noah is 7
- How long have you lived in Short Hills/Millburn/Livingston and what made you decide to live here?
My husband got a job in Florham park. We have been here since Feb 2013
3.Tell us about your business and what other local things you are involved in! And how did you get started?
I started a swimwear showroom in 2003 in Manhattan. I represent designer swimwear and cover up brands and sell them to stores like Anthropologie, Bloomingdales and Saks. My lease in the city was up in May of 2020 so I moved my entire showroom home. I turned my basement into a store for people to shop and I continue to run my wholesale business out of my house now.
4.Favorite thing to do when you need “me time”?
I love to go get a facial and a massage. It’s one of my favorite things to do when I have time for myself
5.Favorite place for dinner with kids?
We love Cheesecake Factory. My kids love the food and desserts.
6.Most enjoyable place to hang out?
My deck. I love sitting on my deck and just enjoying the peace and quiet.
7.How do you balance your career and being a mom?
It’s very hard. I never stop working. I really like to spend as much time with the kids as I can at night and on the weekends.
8.Proudest mommy moment(s)?
When my daughter got on the bus to sleep away camp for the first time she was so sure of herself and excited. She didn’t cry. I was so proud.
9.Can’t believe that happened mommy moment!
Julia was playing with play dough and it ended up in her ear. We had to take her for surgery to get it out.
10.Best advice you have gotten from a mom?
My sister told me to just take everything in stride and stay calm because everyone has good days and bad days.
11.Best piece of advice you can give other moms!
Always know that you will have good days and bad days. And Ice cream makes everything better.
12.One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
On my honeymoon I won the showcase showdown on the price is right.
